This past summer, we applied a mixture of organic compost and Vital minerals to our front lawn and garden. The results were stunning. To begin with, we always thought our lawn was in reasonably good shape, even though we had trouble spots where the grass was thin in places and thatchy in others. The thin areas were a result of people constantly walking across the lawn and it was always difficult to get it back in shape even after applying over the years, other types of lawn fertilizers, ogogrow and bags of peatmoss. After hearing about the nutritional support minerals can give to soil and plants, we decided to apply a good top dressing of compost soil and the minerals. We raked it in covering about ¾ of the lawn area and watered as often as we could while observing the current watering restrictions. The lawn began to under go a transformation. After 2 weeks there was a good showing of new grass coming forth in the thin areas. As the new grass grew in, the areas began to thicken up, while the thatch areas began to subside as new healthier grass came in to replace the weaker grass. A few weeks later it became very visible that the lawn had transformed itself. Interestingly enough, the last ¼ area of lawn that had not been covered, was beginning to show signs of regeneration due to the watering and natural filtering thru of the minerals to this area. After about 2 months, the whole lawn took on a much greener look and the strength and quality of the grass was noticeably improved. This year our back yard lawn is going to get the same treatment.
